The area  

We are well situated for access to many areas of outstanding beauty. Just 10 miles away is the attractive and friendly market town of Tavistock with its central pannier market and variety of individual shops.

The north coast is an hour away with many interesting places and beaches to explore. Bude is the nearest point if you are a keen surfer, Newquay takes an hour and a half, with all the seaside delights in between.

Southwards, Plymouth is 25 miles away and Exeter 30 miles to the east.

Dartmoor can be seen from the barn – a few minutes drive away. For those who like to walk, there are endless possibilities either on the moor, or by Roadford Lake where there is fishing, sailing and other water sports. If you don’t want to drive anywhere, you can stroll from our back door into the woodland.

However, you may choose to spend your time reading, relaxing and staying around the barn.
